Social Media Rules for Staff
How Social Media Changed Working Life Communication
Social media changed working life communication significantly. Staff can communicate more effectively and share information quickly. Online conferences and online documentation promote remote working. Furthermore, there is an expectation for quicker response than in the pre-social media era.
Social media influences organizational culture both formally and informally. Formally, it enhances communication, transparency, and employee engagement through platforms like LinkedIn and Workplace by Meta. It also shapes company policies, brand identity, and leadership visibility. Informally, social media fosters workplace connections, promotes knowledge sharing, and influences employee behavior through trends and discussions.
